Once upon a time, the inhabitants learned to tanning Deer Skin from native american and many high quality Deer Leather were produced in this area. And many leather craftsman gathered in this area in search of high quality Deer Leather. In 1800’s this area was named Gloversville and the technology of British Glove company “Dents” was brought in this area.
