In 1949, Nalgene was founded. However, the brand was then called Nalge Company and produced centrifuge bottles, filter units and storage tanks. There were rumours that lab staff took smaller bottles with them and used them during hikes and excursions. It wasn't until the 1970s that this was noticed and Nalgene Outdoor was born. Today, Nalgene brings out drinking bottles for children, athletes, adventurers and workers. In addition to water bottles, the company also produces lunch boxes for small children.
